Torque-type electromagnetic couplings use pairs of steel blades/sintered layer blades and can operate in dry or oil environment.

-It is mounted with the axis of rotation in horizontal position, in vertical position or on the flange;

-The voltage supply is made by means of a collector ring/connection clamps;

-The brakes work intermittently, the magnetic flux not being short-circuited 

when the power supply is interrupted, the package of blades is released, releasing the brake part quickly;

-The normal degree of protection is IP 00 after STAS 5325-79;

-The insulation class is E, after STAS 6247-60;

-All data refer to the mounting in the horizontal position of the axis of rotation;

-The recommended viscosity for oil is 9,5 - 21 cst;

It is used especially in the construction of gearboxes and in general in mechanisms where due to heavy access, maintenance is difficult.
